Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hatboro, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, support customer service, and help develop the store team. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a customer-first approach in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with opening/closing, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, training staff, and enforcing company policies while delivering friendly, efficient service to shoppers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and records like payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and disposal.
