Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Shamokin Dam, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is stocked and organized.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lead a team, and adherence to company policies. You will participate in opening/closing, payroll tasks, and loss prevention while maintaining a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; protect store assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
