Job summary

Five Below in New York, NY is seeking a Store Manager on Duty to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and wow customers with friendly, fast service.

You will train crew, oversee opening/closing, manage shifts, and ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed. Minimum 1 year of management, excellent verbal and written communication, and flexible scheduling are required. Starting at $17.50 per hour, with benefits.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Wows the Customer through personal contact and trains crew on BEST customer service.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures duties are performed effectively.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock and placing items on sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing processes, cash handling, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates to improve performance.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Performs general store maintenance and housekeeping.
