Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager-in-Training to lead a fast-paced retail team in New York. You will guide customer service excellence, oversee daily store activities, and ensure smooth opening/closing operations.

The role includes training associates, optimizing merchandising, and driving sales while controlling expenses. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and trains crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures service quality.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking and stocking to keep shelves ready.
• Acts as Manager on Duty for store operations and staff management.
• Manages opening/closing, cash handling, alarms and daily setup.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drives sales and controls expenses via merchandising and performance.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising and operational procedures.
• Maintains store cleanliness and stock room organization.
