Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager on Duty in Denton, TX to lead crew, secure daily operations, and ensure exceptional customer service. The role oversees opening/closing, cash handling, and store safety while coaching associates on product knowledge and procedures.

You’ll drive sales, manage schedules, and partner with leadership to maintain high standards of merchandising and guest experience. This is a hands-on retail leadership role with a focus on WOWing customers.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and ensures fast, friendly checkout.
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates to ensure duties are performed well.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and stocking to keep floor ready.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations and emergencies.
• Manages opening and closing procedures including cash and alarms.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and service.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance and upkeep of facilities and stock areas.
