Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Winston-Salem, NC. You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, and help supervise store associates to maintain a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with preferred store management experience in retail. Duties include opening/closing, payroll records, and safeguarding store assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
