Job summary

Ross Stores in the United States is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist with general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a clean, friendly, and well-presented shopping environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, supervising loss prevention, coaching front-end staff on cash handling, and ensuring stockroom organization aligns with company standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates and manage store operations when on duty.
• Open and close the store and ensure merchandise presentation is up to standard.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment; report hazards to Store Leadership.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Ensure stockroom organization and back-stock is secure and processed per policy.
