Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and support overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise associates, ensure clean, well-merchandised surroundings, and uphold company processes across the area.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, delivering strong customer service, and coordinating front-end and stockroom activities to meet company standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as part of Store Leadership responsibilities.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation is accurate and stock areas are clean and organized.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Maintain safe and secure store environment and report hazards.
• Provide strong customer service and professionalism at all times.
• Coordinate front-end operations to manage wait times and cashier performance.
• Assist with stockroom and back-room duties to meet company standards.
