Job summary

Five Below is seeking a capable leader to oversee daily store operations, provide exceptional customer service, and train crew members. This hourly role involves managing open/close duties, onboarding staff, and driving sales while controlling expenses.

You will work with the store leadership team to ensure merchandise is well presented and guest experiences meet Five Below standards. The position requires flexibility for day, evening, weekends and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers and trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring duties are performed effectively and customer service is excellent.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for rapid shelf placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Manage opening/closing procedures including cash security, doors, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates and product knowledge.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Collaborate with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance tasks such as cleaning, stocking, and stock room upkeep.
