Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and staff leadership at our Monroe, NC location. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store standards, and guiding staff through training and policy adherence.

The successful candidate will help manage safety, sales, service and operational objectives while stepping in for the Store Manager when needed, ensuring a smooth, compliant store experience for customers

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of footwear, accessories and shoe care.

• Understanding of Store Presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Oversee POS transactions in line with policy and procedure.
• Inventory control including shipping/receiving and price management.
• Merchandising and visual presentation aligned with company standards.
• Payroll control including scheduling and time/attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports and reinforce standards.
• Loss prevention and asset protection.
