Job summary

Five Below is seeking an energetic leader to join as an hourly Manager on Duty at our Milford, DE store. You will oversee crew performance, train staff on BEST service, and ensure fast, friendly check-out while protecting cash and security during opening/closing shifts.

You will drive sales, control expenses, coordinate merchandising with leadership, and lead associates to deliver a WOW customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking; ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register, computer, handheld, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and stock up to 5-10 feet high.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
• Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on sales floor.
• Communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers.
• Exchange accurate information in various situations.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and in stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, possibly overnight shifts and travel.
• Follow email/print instructions for merchandising layouts, schedules, SOPs.
• Remain stationary 80% of the time.
