Job summary

Five Below is seeking a dynamic Store Manager to lead a high-energy team on the sales floor, train crew on the BEST customer service standards, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will oversee daily activities of store associates, assist with receiving and organizing new stock, and act as Manager on Duty for opening/closing, cash handling, and security procedures. This role focuses on driving sales, managing expenses, and partnering with leadership on merchandising.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Creative thinking with a calm demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members wow the customer through personal contact and a fast, friendly checkout.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience and standards.
• Oversees daily store activities and staff performance to deliver service excellence.
• Receives, unpacks, and organizes new stock for quick shelf placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Opens/closes the store, secures cash, sets alarms, and ensures daily readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and performance.
• Partners with leadership on merchandising procedures and store recovery.
• Performs store maintenance and upkeep as needed.
