Job summary

Five Below in Memphis is seeking an upbeat and motivated leader to join our store team. You will train crew, oversee daily store operations, and help ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience for every guest.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work day, evening, weekends, and possible overnight shifts. Starting pay is $11.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or accepted.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively under pressure.
• Experience in a supervisory/leadership role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact with guests.
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience and maintains fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures policy adherence.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff, customer issues.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, set alarms, and prepare for daily operations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive store sales and control expenses via merchandising and performance.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and overall operations.
• Perform maintenance tasks: cleaning, stocking, and stockroom organization.
• Flexible scheduling including day, evening, weekends, and overnight shifts.
