Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Manager on Duty to lead store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise associates, train staff on the BEST customer service experience, and ensure a smooth checkout with friendly service.

You will help open/close the store, manage cash handling, and secure premises. The role requires flexibility, weekend shifts, and strong communication to boost sales and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• College experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Creative thinking
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and trains crew on BEST customer service experience
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures effective performance
• Assists with receiving, unpacking and stocking to floor quickly
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed and handles store operations
• Manages opening/closing processes, cash, alarms and daily readiness
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising and staff performance
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising and operations
• Performs store maintenance and safety tasks as needed
