Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Miamisburg, OH to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail store management experience preferred (retail, grocery, or drug store).
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom per standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety and company policies; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
