Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Dayton location. You will help supervise daily tasks, train associates, and ensure a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for daily customer and team interactions.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communication related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effective merchandising.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and stockroom, safeguarding assets including cash.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; promote a safe, respectful work environment.
• Ensure overall store cleanliness and compliance with company policies.
