Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and help supervise associates to ensure a positive shopping environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safety, and adherence to company policies, with responsibilities including scheduling, payroll, and loss prevention in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail store management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling, deposits).
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies; ensure associates comply.
• Help the Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
