Job summary

Walgreens in Ohio is looking for a hands-on team member to help run daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash and stock, and ensure the floor and backroom are ready for business.

You will assist customers, process returns and pricing tasks, and support inventory, displays, and backroom organization while upholding Walgreens service standards.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, handling all required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive customer experience and Walgreens service traits.
• Responsible for holding store keys to open/close without management as necessary.
• Coaches team on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for deliveries.
• Registers all related sales on cash registers, records scanning errors, price verifications, voids, and price modifications.
• Assists manager in reviewing order exceptions and in reverse logistics.
• Assists in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise; completes resets.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts across basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Ensures compliance with pricing tasks and local regulatory signage requirements.
• Performs basic bookkeeping activities such as cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Maintains store appearance and requests repairs as needed in manager's absence.
• Assists with product separation and stock rotation using FIFO.
• Ensures knowledge of store systems and equipment; assists at Pharmacy out window.
• Ensures compliance with state/local laws for regulated products; bag checks of team members.
• Completes special assignments as requested.
