Job summary

Five Below in Illinois is seeking an experienced Store Leader to Wow customers through personal interactions and outstanding service. You will supervise crew, train associates, and act as Manager on Duty to oversee store operations and guest experiences.

Key duties include opening/closing the store, handling cash, coordinating merchandising, maintaining safety standards, and supporting onboarding. This hourly role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and potential overnight

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and WOWs customers through personal contact and service.
• Trains crew on BEST customer service for fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock for quick placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Opens/closes the store, secures cash, sets alarms, and ensures smooth operations.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drives sales and controls expenses through merchandising and service.
• Partners with leadership on merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Performs maintenance and housekeeping duties around the store.
