Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Delaware is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the team. You will support opening/closing procedures, merchandise flow, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting shopping environment.

Experience in retail leadership is preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential to coach store associates and meet

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred; able to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store areas to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Protect and secure store assets.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
