Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist with store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

You will lead opening/closing procedures, help with inventory, payroll and scheduling, uphold loss prevention and safety policies, and coach store associates toward great service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to train and develop store associates.
• Familiarity with store operations and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed, ensuring seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures for storefronts.
