Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Burlington, NC location. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure cleanliness and safety, while supporting the Store Manager in training staff and maintaining high standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, with focus on asset protection and policy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain store standards and fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling records
• Maintain clean and stocked areas and secure assets
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines
• Support Store Manager in training and development of staff
