Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Burlington, NC.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. If you bring strong communication, leadership, and hands-on retail experience, you will help drive performance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store functions and customer service.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close the store and follow corporate directives.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and train/develop store associates.
