Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate to create an outstanding customer experience by performing critical store operations before opening. This is an early-morning role, where you’ll join a team to prepare merchandise, organize the sales floor, and ensure the store is ready for guests.

Key duties include pricing and signing, replenishing stock, unloading shipments, maintaining backroom standards, and contributing to omnichannel efforts such as Buy Online Pickup in Store, Ship from Store,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail experience.
• Customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service - assist customers with questions and help them find items.
• Executes pricing and signing - update ticket prices and signage storewide.
• Replenish and restock the store to ensure size/style availability.
• Receive and unload merchandise from trucks and prepare backroom.
• Backroom standards - keep stockroom safe, clean and organized.
• Omnichannel - contribute to BOPIS, ship from store, returns, and online orders.
• Merchandise strategy - implement leadership plans on floor placement.
• Participates in a learning environment - absorb new product and process information.
