Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate to help create an outstanding customer experience by performing essential store operations before opening. The role is an early morning position performed with a team to prepare merchandise, signage, and stock for the day.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, pricing changes, replenishment, backroom upkeep, and supporting omnichannel initiatives like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in retail or store operations experience.
• Strong customer service mindset with ability to assist customers quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly customer service around the sales floor.
• Execute pricing and signing across merchandise accurately.
• Replenish and restock to keep styles and sizes available.
• Receive and unload shipments, prep backroom merchandise.
• Maintain organized, safe backroom and stock areas.
• Support omnichannel operations (BOPIS, Ship from Store, returns).
• Assist with merchandising placement and conditions to enhance customer experience.
• Learn and follow store processes and safety guidelines.
