Books-A-Million is seeking a Co-Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations as Manager On Duty and collaborate with the management team to maximize sales and service. The role focuses on executing merchandising plans, maintaining standards, and leading staff.

The candidate should have prior supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage budgets and category cadence while ensuring security and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Competenze

• 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Mansioni

• Lead assigned category team and operate the store in line with policies.
• Act as Manager On Duty with the management team to maximize sales.
• Maintain store security as a key-holding manager.
• Ensure top customer service and resolve complaints satisfactorily.
• Maintain merchandising, cleanliness and operational efficiency.
• Maintain stock levels within the monthly budget for categories.
• Train and develop Associates and Leads.
• Communicate with staff via daily briefings and regular meetings.
• Audit buyback and ensure policies are followed throughout the day.
• Drop deposits and handle change requests as needed.
• Consult with the General Manager on associate performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
