Books-A-Million is seeking a Co-Manager to supervise daily store operations and partner with the management team to optimize sales and service. The role emphasizes executing merchandising plans and maintaining store standards.

The Co-Manager will lead category teams, ensure security, train staff, handle deposits, and coordinate with the General Manager on performance. Must be 21+, with supervisory experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of background screenings.
• Computer and cash register skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence with all Company policy and guidelines.
• Operates the store as the Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store, and is a key-holding member of management.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates and Leads.
• Facilitates effective communication to all store staff through daily briefings and meetings.
• Drops off bank deposits and handles change orders as needed.
• Picks up café/grocery supplies as needed.
• Consults with the General Manager on associate performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
