Job summary

The Ross Stores, Inc. Area Supervisor plays a key role in Store Leadership, overseeing a specific area and general store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, ensure merchandise presentation, and keep a clean, inviting shopping environment.

You will also execute company processes, supervise front-end operations, control stockroom activities and assist with loss prevention, training staff, and maintaining strong customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and store cleanliness meet company standards.
• Oversee stockroom processes and back-stock organization.
• Enforce loss prevention practices and secure cash handling procedures.
• Coach and train associates and schedule coverage for peak times.
• Assist with customer service and issue resolution to maintain satisfaction.
