Job summary

The Ross Stores Area Supervisor role centers on leading a defined area within the store and overseeing general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment with strong merchandising and a clean work area at all times.

You will also enforce company processes, maintain safety, lead front-end operations, and perform daily administrative duties under the Store Manager, ensuring loss prevention

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure store environment and handles opening/closing duties.
• Supervises Associates and ensures a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensures proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Executes and supervises Company operational processes as needed.
• Manages front-end operations, cashier training, and line control to reduce wait times.
• Implements loss prevention measures and maintains store security.
• Performs administrative duties and payroll-related tasks as assigned.
