Bassett Furniture is seeking an entry-level Store Operations Administrator to assist the store manager with daily retail tasks and customer service. You will handle order entry, cash handling, financing applications, deliveries, and post-delivery follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and proficiency with Windows-based software. A valid driver's license and readiness to support store operations are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proven ability to use Windows-based software (Word, Excel) and store systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist design consultants with order entry, cash handling, and financing applications.
• Help order parts for customers (arm caps, legs, hardware) and coordinate deliveries.
• Manage petty cash reconciliation and cash drawer balancing with the store manager.
• Audit daily transaction reports for accuracy and assist with sales order entries.
• Respond to post-sale service inquiries; schedule deliveries and service calls.
• Maintain service order communications and update customers on status.
• Process purchase orders for parts or store pickup and ensure documentation.
• Support store operations: expenses, inventory accuracy, and building maintenance.
• Collaborate with HR, distribution centers, visual team, and accounting.
• Perform other duties and maintain attendance as required.
