Job summary

The Michaels team in Washington, DC seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will manage truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure a customer-ready store environment with strong workload planning.

With at least 3 years of retail leadership, you will provide MOD coverage, lead merchandising initiatives, and uphold pricing integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure adherence to policies, standards, and store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage for floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee truck execution, unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Manage in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy through SISO routines.
• Oversee Planogram execution and ensure merchandising sets are completed on schedule.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation per company expectations.
• Support a clean, organized store environment and backroom efficiency.
• Manage inventory accuracy, integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and timely across sales floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship-from-Store fulfillment and ensure orders are picked/packed/shipped correctly.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage store damages procedures to reduce shrink.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and skills development.
• Collaborate on Asset Protection practices to minimize shrink.
