Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager in training to support store operations, sales, and team leadership. This role focuses on hands-on development toward a store or regional management position.

Successful candidates will complete required management trainings, assist in hiring, scheduling, and performance reviews, and ensure safety compliance. Bilingual abilities are encouraged to apply and growth opportunities are strong within a promote-from-within culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks and interviewing candidates.
• Support store manager in safety training and compliance.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager and schedule customer calls.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, electronic systems, and KPI dashboards.
• Monitor gross profit, returns, price matches, and overrides.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and identify opportunities.
