O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager-in-Training to help supervise store operations, sales, and appearance, with an aim to prepare for a management position. The role emphasizes team leadership, hiring support, safety training, performance evaluations, and driving store profitability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Must complete the Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline and discharge team members.
• Ensure safety compliance and that training is provided to all staff.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager and participate in customer calls.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, and KPI dashboard reviews with store manager.
• Review monthly P&L and identify opportunities for improvement.
