Job summary

The Salvation Army Seaside Thrift Store in Seaside, CA is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily retail operations, oversee donations, inventory, and staff to meet sales goals while delivering friendly, mission-driven service.

You will supervise a team of associates and Beneficiaries, ensure safety, implement processes, schedule shifts, and maintain excellent customer and donor relations in support of TSA's mission to Do The Most Good.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. (some college preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisor/management experience in a retail environment (thrift experience preferred)
• Basic understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid Driver’s license, successfully pass a MVR check (required), proof of insurance and access to a motor vehicle
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers, and donors

Responsibilities

• Meet sales and income budget expectations while controlling expenses.
• Direct day-to-day operations of the store, including opening/closing, POS, inventory and donations.
• Hire, train and supervise store staff and oversee performance evaluations.
• Schedule employees and coordinate team meetings; monitor payroll records.
• Maintain high customer and donor satisfaction and strong community relations.
• Manage Back Room Processing and ensure inventory is on the sales floor.
• Oversee staff and Beneficiaries if Work Therapy Assignments are used.
• Protect store currency, inventory and property; ensure safety and security protocols.
