Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store operations, including staffing, training and performance management. You will ensure accurate ordering, stock levels, presentation and cashier accountability while driving sales and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, inventory control, and adherence to company policies. This on-site position emphasizes teamwork and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling, safety policies and store controls.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and counsel staff up to termination if needed.
• Monitor staffing levels, performance, safety, and store policies.
• Open and close the store and supervise cash handling and inventory accuracy.
• Drive customer service leadership and maintain a clean, secure shopping environment.
