Job summary

S&G Stores in Findlay, OH is seeking a Store Manager to lead a single-unit operation as a salaried exempt role with a 50-hour work week. You will oversee daily retail activities, train staff, ensure compliance with laws and company policies, and drive sales while protecting assets.

You will supervise customer service, merchandising, and store controls, maintaining a clean, organized environment and delivering a great shopping experience. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Retail / Customer service experience.
• Completion of the Assistant Store Manager Training program and other required trainings.
• Good understanding of Company systems and technology.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues.
• Knowledge of retail business management practices.
• Knowledge of all types of store transactions and related programs.
• Knowledge of handling customer and employee injuries, incidents and accidents.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service leadership and direction for entire store and team of employees at the same location.
• Ensures employees follow all Company policies.
• Maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Fosters an environment focused on customer service and satisfaction.
• Promotes staff retention by developing leaders and empowering employees.
• Responds quickly to emergencies for safety of customers and staff.
• Ensures merchandising and marketing programs are executed with plan-o-gram integrity and signage.
• Maximizes sales and educates staff on selling initiatives.
• Monitors store activities to ensure proper transactions.
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and rotated.
• Completes store reports and performance appraisals in a timely fashion.
