Job summary

Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County in Newark, DE seeks a Retail Store Manager to lead the Newark store, blending leadership, mission integration, and operations to deliver excellent customer service and support job training programs in the community.

You will drive sales, manage labor and payroll, recruit and develop a high-performing team, oversee POS and inventory, and partner with community programs to maximize impact while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, operations, logistics, or a related field, or at least 4 years of relevant retail or operations leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, compliant workplace and uphold safety and regulatory standards.
• Drive sales, revenue, and production to meet monthly goals.
• Manage labor efficiency and payroll, optimize scheduling and wage-to-revenue ratios.
• Recruit, interview, and develop a high-performing team.
• Coach team members through training, feedback, and performance planning.
• Oversee point-of-sale and cash handling operations and daily reporting of sales and donations.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience and build relationships with customers and community partners.
• Use technology and scheduling tools to streamline operations and communication.
