Goodwill Industries of Delaware & Delaware County, Inc. in Bear, DE is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead our store.

This role blends leadership, operations management, and customer engagement to meet key performance goals while supporting job training and employment programs in the community. You will recruit and develop a high-performing team, drive sales and payroll efficiency, oversee cash handling and inventory, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, operations, logistics, sales, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant leadership experience.
• Experience supervising teams and managing retail sales/store operations.
• Experience executing operational strategies and driving results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to lead operations to provide top quality service to customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication, & ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, compliant workplace with top safety and regulatory standards.
• Drive sales, revenue, and production metrics to meet monthly goals.
• Manage labor efficiency and payroll, optimize scheduling, and wage-to-revenue ratios.
• Recruit, interview, and develop talent; coach through training and performance planning.
• Oversee POS and cash handling with accuracy and accountability.
• Maintain daily reporting for sales, donations, labor hours, and inventory.
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences and build community partnerships.
• Utilize scheduling tools to streamline operations and communication.
• Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention.
• Ensure onboarding and required training for all team members.
