Qualifications

• Read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store as needed; maintain daily operations.
• Review financial statements to identify trends, profitability, and inventory issues.
• Manage stock replenishment and cycle counts to meet in-stock targets.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing, signage and presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory through controls, damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Uphold cashier accountability and security practices.
