Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, ordering, receiving, merchandising and customer service. You will recruit, train and develop a team, ensure compliance with company policies and federal laws, and drive sales through effective store execution.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen and the ability to open and close the store, manage inventory, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and counsel staff.
• Manage store opening/closing and cash controls.
