Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Store Manager Candidate to assist in running daily store operations, supervision, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service. This role supports the Store Manager and is a limited period development path toward the Store Manager position.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and retail experience; bilingual Spanish may be preferred at some locations. Will travel between nearby stores as needed and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by facilitating staging and stocking.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and stock control.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Act as a role model by following company policies.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Assist in ensuring cash handling and deposits are secure.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on deadlines.
