Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff to meet store needs.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and counsel as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety and policy expectations regularly.
• Ensure store is properly staffed and opened/closed daily.
• Open/close the store personally at least twice weekly.
• Manage ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising and inventory controls.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, pricing, signage and displays.
• Uphold cashier accountability and strict cash control procedures.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
