Job summary

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and meticulous inventory and cash management, with a focus on safety and security in a fast-paced retail environment. Candidates with bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; address gaps with coaching or termination as needed.
• Recommend employee pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed properly each day.
• Open/close store at least twice weekly.
• Monitor sales, profitability, and inventory to identify trends and cost-control opportunities.
• Manage stock levels, ordering plans, and seasonal/inventory issues weekly.
• Ensure proper merchandising presentation, pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash control; secure assets.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and a safe shopping environment.
• Keep store clean, organized, and safely equipped.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs; complete all paperwork on time.
