Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service. You will ensure the store opens and closes properly, supervise employees, and uphold cash control procedures in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with preference for bilingual Spanish speakers and at least one year of prior retail management experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train qualified applicants to fulfill a store need and ensure compliance with laws.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Ensure store is properly staffed and opened/closed daily.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, and customer service leadership.
• Ensure cash control and security practices.
