Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA is seeking a Store Manager to lead a high-volume donor-based retail operation. You will direct receiving, sorting, pricing, merchandising, and selling donated goods while driving revenue and controlling costs.

You will hire, coach, train, and supervise the store team, ensure safety and daily operations, and coordinate with transportation and district leadership to meet production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED; leadership training preferred.
• Experience leading teams in retail, production, manufacturing, or assembly is desirable.
• Must read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and motivates store employees to production guidelines (110 garments/hour; 90% quality).
• Ensure constant merchandise flow to floors daily.
• Hire, coach, train, develop, and lead the store team.
• Handle interviews daily and onboarding paperwork.
• Maintain safety compliance, incident reporting, and building maintenance.
• Lead receiving, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
• Open/close store, balance cash, review P&L, finalize day procedures.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free store environment with fresh products.
• Perform all duties of store personnel including cash register, donation processing, sorting, pricing, and cleaning.
• Coordinate daily with transportation and District Manager.
• Create work schedules ensuring adequate coverage and same-day donation processing.
• Conduct daily store walkthroughs, huddles, and meetings.
• Manage production, revenue, payroll, and expenses to meet budgets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff; set goals and analyze data.
• Keep store clean and safe; handle debris removal.
• Must work Sundays once a month and rotate weekends with leadership team.
• Any other related duties as assigned.
