Job summary

The Store Manager at Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana leads the store team to maximize revenue by efficiently processing donated goods and managing the daily workflow from donation intake to sales floor.

You will hire, coach, train, and develop staff; supervise operations, pricing, merchandising, and cash handling; ensure safety, open/close procedures, and achieve budgeted goals. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Five years of retail management experience.
• 1–2 years in management role required.
• Background in leading teams in retail, production, manufacturing, or assembly.
• Reliable transportation; ability to pass MVR check.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration, and inspection.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI.
• Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to production goals (110 garments/hour) with 90% quality.
• Ensure daily merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Staff the store by hiring, coaching, training, and developing the team.
• Complete interviews daily and handle new hire paperwork.
• Hold staff accountable via coaching, discipline, and evaluations.
• Ensure safety policies, incident reporting, and maintenance tasks.
• Open/close store; balance cash; review P&L; end-of-day procedures.
• Communicate daily needs with transportation and District Manager.
• Provide leadership and guidance; set KPIs; analyze data on productivity and sales.
