Job summary

A leading bakery company in East Cleveland is hiring a full-time Store Manager in Training to support store operations. As a vital player, you will supervise and train staff while ensuring excellent customer service. Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in retail or restaurants and strong skills in areas such as POS systems and MS Office. Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States.
• Experience with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager is absent.
• Supervise, train, and coach team members engaged in cookie sales and deliveries.
• Conduct initial interviews for new hires in the manager’s absence.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires in the manager’s absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, policies).
• Ensure all team members upsell and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager‑on‑Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present
• Supervise, train, and coach 2–5 team members engaged in both cookie sales and deliveries
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.)
• Ensure all team members upsell and provide excellent customer service

Desired Skills & Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store
• Prior experience conducting in‑person interviews of hourly support staff
• Prior POS systems experience
• Proficient with MS Office, Word, and our Applicant Tracking System
• Ability to work a 4–5 day week and 1–2 mid‑to‑late shifts on Thursdays‑Sunday
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States
