Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Strong math skills for basic calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposits, and cashier accountability.
• Willingness to learn IBM cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Awareness of safety, keys, and cash control policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing according to practice and direction.
• Assist in inventory management, including damages and markdowns.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Maintain cash controls and security procedures.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store and safe environment.
• Operate the store in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for sales, labor, and inventory trends.
• Complete all paperwork according to guidelines and deadlines.
