Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in supervising staff, merchandising, inventory, and daily operations. This role helps develop internal talent for the Store Manager position and is a limited-term assignment.

You will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling while ensuring compliance with company policies. You may participate in opening/closing duties and strive to maintain a safe, well-stocked store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail or supervisory duties is beneficial.
• Ability to learn and apply store procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Aid in merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing according to store directions.
• Support inventory management, damages, markdowns, and cashiering processes.
• Adhere to ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership.
• Participate in opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
