Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in supervising staff, managing staffing, inventory, stocking, and store operations. This role emphasizes developing internal candidates for future Store Manager positions on a limited-term basis.

You will assist with recruitment, merchandising, inventory control, and financial integrity through cash handling and security practices. Regular store opening/closing and reporting are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking of merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and preparing inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Handle store opening and closing activities.
• Review operating statements for business trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork per guidelines and deadlines.
